Can sound-absorbing panels be perforated or carved to enhance their design?

2026-07-28
Yes. Various geometric perforations and openwork techniques can be achieved using a CNC engraving machine. However, please note that large-area perforations will significantly reduce the actual sound-absorbing area. If perforations are used for decorative purposes, it is recommended to place a layer of black sound-permeable fabric and non-woven fabric behind the perforated back panel. This ensures visual appeal while preventing the back cavity from being exposed, and the sound-permeable fabric still retains some sound-absorbing functionality.
